Liquids have closely spaced molecules
resulting in a close interaction between the molecules, unlike gas molecules
which separate from each other leaving large volumes of space between the
molecules. Non-Compressible liquids such as
water, under static conditions, transmit pressure instantaneously, without
loss, and equally in all directions throughout the
body of liquid. Liquids have a constant volume but no fixed shape due to
their low resistance to flow.
