It is best if an Irrigation Craft dealer is allowed to start and calibrate the pump station.  This service is provided no charge for every non-export pump station.

Pump intake lines are the largest source of problems on new pump installations.  We have therefore provided much information about pump intake design and installation on this website.  Follow the links below to learn about pump intakes.  If you have any doubts about your intake design please call Irrigation Craft and we will be glad to assist you.

Irrigation Craft dealers offer full installation of the intake line.  Thick walled HDPE is the preferred construction method for intake line installations because there are no joints (pipe and fittings are fusion welded), the pipe is slightly flexible, and the pipe also tolerates vibration well.

The links below explain many of the concepts that should be understood to properly design and install pump intake lines.

Newest Addition - Submersible Pump Motors and Well Casing Sizes

Irrigation Craft recommends that 6" submersible pump motors NOT be installed into 6" well casings, unless the flow rate is below 100gpm.  Irrigation Craft also recommends that 4" submersible motors NOT be installed into 4" wells unless the flow rate is below 60gpm.  In addition to the flow rate limitations just stated, the following must also be true for the well casings: The well casing should be in near perfect condition with no bends, internal weld slag, little or no corrosion, and no other deteriorated conditions that would cause mechanical clearance problems.
